“Where to start with Robert Byrd. I relocated from Florida to Georgia very rushed because of a change of jobs. I moved without any knowledge of the area and with no idea of what my family needed. At this point of moving we were looking for a rental. Robert took an entire day to walking these rentals with us starting at 8am until well after 5pm, knowing that we only had one shot to find a house that worked. The battery in my vehicle died at the last house and he assisted in getting and swapping out the battery refusing to leave us alone until our vehicle was running again and we were safely on our way home. He did all of this mind you while knowingly not making a dime off of our rental. Fast forward 7 months we start looking for a house to purchase. He works around our schedule to make showings work for us and invests himself in knowing what we are looking for to even be able to not send us homes that do not fit our style or ideas. We settle on building a home and are within the last month of the build and start getting cold feet wondering is this really where we want to be and is this the right house. Does Robert say, “you are already 4 months in and it would be foolish for you to start from scratch”? No he fires up his searches and shows us 10 more homes because it is more important that we are happy than the guaranteed commission from this sale already set. We decide after it all to stick with the build we had started, truly wasting his time and he is gracious and understanding through it all. I have moved many times and have never used the same agent twice, for listing or purchasing, and will tell you without a shadow of a doubt if I move again Robert will be my listing agent as well as my buying agent as long as I remain in his area. "I honestly cannot imagine going through our first time home buying experience with anyone other than Robert . We started the process with very little knowledge about the home buying process, but Robert made everything feel so much easier than expected. He was always available whenever we had questions, helping us search for homes, set up tours, and even connecting us with a great lender. On tours, he was super helpful in pointing out flaws in the home, helping us imagine spaces, and estimate contracting costs. After going under contract too, Robert was equally as available and very knowledgeable about the process. What really stood out was how he worked directly with that lender and our closing attorneys so we didn't have to chase anyone down. He saved us a good amount of money and took so much stress off our shoulders. Robert also gave us fantastic recommendations for a home inspector and a few contractors who ended up doing great work.
